Riley felt out of place growing up in the quiet suburbs of Kansas
Riley J. Ewing is a multi-hyphenate Brooklyn-based artist. In 2017 he launched SPACEHEAD Productions as a boutique production company that blends his unique artistic approach with projects in various mediums.
With an undergraduate degree in music, he brings a distinctive rhythmic precision to his filmmaking, using expressive camera movement and sharp, musical editing to shape emotionally resonant, visually lyrical narratives. His work blends grounded realism with heightened style, often exploring themes of identity, connection, and modern myth. His films Scott & Zelda at Home and Unplugged, have screened at festivals such as Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival, and Kansas City FilmFest International. As an actor himself, Riley brings a collaborative, performance-forward approach to directing. He has been given honorable mentions for his acting by the Red Movie Awards and the Madrid Film Awards. He is currently developing his first original television pilot and seeking opportunities to direct for television and film.
